Merdon volunteers several days a week for HL. He is a Director/Member of the Investment Committee of five labour sponsored venture capital funds in Ontario (VenGrowth III Investment Fund; VenGrowth Tradition Industries Fund; VenGrowth Advanced Life Sciences Fund; VenGrowth II Investment Fund; VenGrowth Investment Fund). He is also a Director/Member of the Audit Committee of Ensis Growth Fund Inc. in Manitoba. He was a member of the Working Group on Disclosure of Wrongdoing, appointed by the President of the Treasury Board to examine the issue of disclosure in the Public Service of Canada. He is a retired Public Servant, a former member of the Federal Public Service Pension Advisory Committee and Founding President of the Association of Canadian Financial Officers (1988-2005). Merdon works tirelessly and cheerfully to make sure HL donor funds are managed with due care and diligence. merdon@helplesotho.ca
